  • 12 ounces bow tie pasta
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the bow tie pasta according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder.
  4. In a 9×13 inch baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce.
  5. Add half of the cooked pasta on top of the sauce.
  6. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the pasta.
  7. Sprinkle half of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
  8. Repeat the layers, finishing with the remaining sauce and cheeses on top.
  9. Bake for about 30-35 minutes, until bubbly and golden.
  10. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • For added flavor, consider including sautéed vegetables or cooked ground meat in the layers.
  • This dish can be prepared a day in advance and refrigerated before baking.
