Cheesesteak Tortellini in Rich Provolone Sauce

A hearty pasta dish combining the flavors of a classic cheesesteak with tortellini in a creamy provolone sauce.

  • 1 package cheese tortellini
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cups provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the tortellini according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Add onion and green bell pepper; sauté until soft.
  3. Add sirloin steak and cook until browned and no longer pink.
  4. Stir in heavy cream and provolone cheese; cook until cheese is melted and sauce is combined.
  5. Toss in the cooked tortellini and mix until evenly coated. Season with salt and pepper.
  6. Serve warm.
