  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups chocolate chips
  • 1 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Arrange saltine crackers in a single layer on the baking sheet.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly until it comes to a boil.
  4. Pour the caramel mixture over the saltine crackers evenly.
  5. Bake in the preheated oven for 5 minutes.
  6. Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips on top, allowing them to melt before spreading evenly.
  7. Add chopped nuts if desired and let cool completely before breaking into pieces.
