High-Protein Honey Garlic Butter Chicken with Mac & Cheese

  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 pound elbow macaroni
  • 4 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a skillet, melt butter over medium heat and add minced garlic.
  3. Stir in honey and soy sauce, then add chicken breasts and cook until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. While the chicken is cooking, boil macaroni according to package instructions.
  5. In a saucepan, melt 1/2 cup of butter, then whisk in flour, garlic powder, onion powder, and paprika until smooth.
  6. Gradually add milk to the mixture, stirring until thickened.
  7. Combine cheddar cheese with the sauce until melted and smooth, then mix with cooked macaroni.
  8. Serve chicken with mac & cheese on the side.
