  • 9 sheets lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 jar (26 oz) marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 2 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons dried basil
  • Salt to taste
  • Pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to the package instructions and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, brown the ground beef over medium heat.
  4. In a bowl, mix together ricotta cheese, egg, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper.
  5. In a baking dish, spread a layer of marinara sauce, then a layer of noodles, followed by the ricotta mixture, and mozzarella cheese.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of marinara sauce and topping with Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for 30-40 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it cool for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

  • For extra flavor, add fresh herbs like thyme or parsley.
  • Let leftovers cool completely before storing.
