  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Gradually mix into the creamed mixture.
  5. Fold in the chocolate chips.
  6. Drop dough by rounded tablespoons onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are set.
  8. Let cool on the baking sheet for a few minutes before transferring to wire racks.

Notes
