  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh basil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Boil the lasagna noodles according to package instructions.
  3. In a mixing bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, basil, salt, and black pepper.
  4. Cook ground beef in a skillet until browned, then add marinara sauce.
  5. Spread a layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Add three noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, and a layer of mozzarella.
  7. Repeat layers and finish with remaining meat sauce and mozzarella on top.
  8. Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes until bubbly.
  10. Let cool before serving.
