One Pot Shawarma Chicken And Rice

Ingredients

  • 1 pound chicken thighs, boneless and skinless
  • 2 cups basmati rice
  • 3 cups chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons shawarma spice mix
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large pot over medium heat.
  2. Add diced onion and garlic, sauté until soft.
  3. Add chicken thighs, season with shawarma spice mix, salt, and pepper. Cook until browned.
  4. Stir in the chopped bell pepper.
  5. Add basmati rice and chicken broth. Bring to a boil.
  6. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 20 minutes or until rice is cooked.
  7. Fluff rice with a fork and serve.
