  • 9 sheets lasagna noodles
  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 8 ounces turkey bacon
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 (28-ounce) can crushed tomatoes
  • 2 (15-ounce) cans tomato sauce
  • 2 teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • salt to taste
  • pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a large skillet, cook the turkey bacon until crispy; remove and chop.
  4. In the same skillet, add ground turkey, onion, and garlic; sauté until turkey is no longer pink.
  5. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, and Italian seasoning; simmer for 10 minutes.
  6. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese with egg, salt, and pepper.
  7. Spread a thin layer of meat sauce in the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  8. Layer 3 noodles, half of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella, and a third of the meat sauce. Repeat layer.
  9. Top with remaining noodles, meat sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheese.
  10. Bake for 30-40 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

  • Let lasagna sit for 10 minutes before slicing for easier serving.
  • This can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
