Spicy Blackened Shrimp Cavatappi

A rich and flavorful dish that combines perfectly seasoned shrimp with cavatappi pasta.

  • 1 pound cavatappi pasta
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 2 tablespoons blackened seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Cook the cavatappi pasta according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a bowl, toss the shrimp with blackened seasoning until evenly coated.
  3. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat and add the shrimp.
  4. Cook the shrimp for about 2-3 minutes on each side until they’re cooked through and have a blackened color.
  5. Reduce heat and stir in the heavy cream and cherry tomatoes. Cook for another 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add the cooked pasta and Parmesan cheese, tossing to combine everything.
  7. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

  • For extra heat, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the shrimp seasoning.
  • Serve with garlic bread for a complete meal.
