- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 1/2 cup water
- 2 large egg whites
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup pureed strawberries
- 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
- In a saucepan, mix sugar, corn syrup, and water. Bring to a boil and cook until it reaches 240°F.
- While the syrup is cooking, beat egg whites and salt in a bowl until stiff peaks form.
- Once the syrup is ready, gradually pour it into the whipped egg whites, mixing continuously.
- Add in strawberry puree and vanilla extract, and continue to mix until fluffy.
- Spread the mixture into a greased pan and allow to set for several hours.
- Once set, dust with powdered sugar and cut into squares.
