  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/4 cup Kahlúa
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1/4 cup coffee liqueur
  • 1/2 cup vodka
  • 1/4 cup chocolate syrup

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, brewed coffee, vegetable oil, eggs, and Kahlúa. Mix until well combined.
  3. Pour the batter into the prepared baking dish and bake for 30-35 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. Once baked, let the cake cool for 10 minutes. Then poke holes throughout the cake using a skewer.
  5. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until soft peaks form. Gently fold in the coffee liqueur and vodka.
  6. Pour the whipped cream mixture over the cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
  7. Drizzle chocolate syrup on top for garnish and refrigerate for at least 2 hours. Serve chilled.
